Festival de Curtas de São Paulo começa nesta quinta

De 25 de agosto a 2 de setembro, cinemas da capital paulistana abrem suas portas para o  22º Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de São Paulo, que  oferece filmes dos mais variados gêneros para um público igualmente diverso.

O tema desse ano é “Feminino Plural”, com parte da programação dedicada a filmes que discutem o papel da mulher na sociedade atual e produções dirigidas por mulheres. Feminino Plural é o nome do filme de Vera de Figueredo e a homenagem comemora os 35 anos de seu lançamento.

A programação tem centenas de títulos, separados em programas temáticos. O evento traz curtas premiados em outros festivais de prestígio, como Cannes e Roterdã. Os jovens cinéfilos também têm sessões com filmes dedicados para crianças. A mostra Dark Side traz curtas de terror.

A Mostra Latino Americana oferece algumas atrações especiais para essa 22ª edição do Festival, com filmes realizados na Escola de Cinema de Cuba e um recorte especial em animações do Chile.
Outra novidade na edição desse ano é o programa Curta Fashion, com obras que misturam elementos do mundo da moda na linguagem cinematográfica.

Como de costume, há diversos programas dedicados a safra recente de curtas realizados nos quatro cantos do Brasil, além de sessões formadas apenas com curtas paulistas.

O Festival de Curtas também tem uma série de atividades paralelas, como oficinas, debates e oportunidades de contato com realizadores e distribuidores.

Nasa consegue detalhar como um buraco negro distante devora uma estrela. Em 28 de março de 2011, o satélite Swift da Nasa detectou intensa emissão de raios-X causado por um buraco negro que devorou uma estrela. Em um modelo, ilustrado aqui, uma estrela do tipo do Sol está em órbita excêntrica e passa muito perto do buraco negro no centro da galáxia. Cerca de metade da massa da estrela alimenta o disco ao redor do buraco, o resto é lançado em feixes de radiação para a Terra
